Support Criteria
Miracles deals with cases of substantial need throughout the UK which require urgent attention.
We aim to respond to all request for support within 24 hours.
Miracles’ grants are available to:
Families living in poverty and facing significant hardship and crises which is detrimental to their children’s wellbeing.

Families with one or more sick/disabled children and/or dependents being treated in hospital.
​
Child carers who are coping with isolation and loneliness.
​
Single mothers fleeing domestic violence in all its forms (including protecting a child from FGM).
Families with no recourse to public funds – such as refugees.
Grants can be considered for a broad range of support that includes:

Hospital transport and accommodation (where no other is available).

Additional medical needs, equipment, special diets, special clothing.

Towards respite breaks and ‘treats after treatment’.

Recreational facilities, school trips and other special needs.

To replace broken household appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers etc.

Replacing children’s beds and bedding.

For eligible cases interim grants may also be considered as crisis funding pending benefits being sought or one-off payments to prevent disconnection of household services.
This is not an exhaustive list and we will consider other request – at our discretion.

While we carefully consider all applications, grants are awarded at our Trustees' discretion, and we may not be able to fulfil every request for support.
