JOSH

RAPID RESPONSE

Josh is a twelve-year-old boy with Ewing sarcoma who has undergone chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery. He is eager to go to school and see his friends during his ‘Well Week’ breaks but, transport to and from home is just too costly.

They are a family of four children on very low income. His mother, who is the main carer,  also needs frequent hospital in-patient treatment. His father is awaiting a possible custodial prison sentence.

The family received a demand for £1,500 rent arrears and £3,000 council tax. His  mother is working with Citizens Advice to help with debt management and applying for possible benefits.

Miracles provided £1,000 to help with immediate living costs.
