KATE

RAPID RESPONSE

Kate is nineteen and recently diagnosed with post-transplant lymphoma, which is now spreading to her central nervous system.

When she was diagnosed, she was studying to be a nurse and is now at a very low ebb, missing her studies, friends and home environment. Her mother is the main source of support, but has now lost her job and is seeking benefits.

Hospital accommodation for her mother has not been available and she has run up costs of £320 per week on bed and breakfast accommodation.

Miracles gave them a grant of £500 towards accommodation until an in-hospital place is found.
